Are you looking for an adult activity in Pigeon Forge? Do you enjoy trying new wines? If you answered yes to these questions, then you should explore the Rocky Top Wine Trail! Here’s everything you need to know about the Rocky Top Wine Trail and the different wineries on it!
About the Rocky Top Wine Trail
The Rocky Top Wine Trail is Tennessee’s most-visited wine trail, and it was the first wine trail in the state. This wine trail lets you explore five local wineries in Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. As you travel the wine trail, you’ll get the chance to visit each of these wineries to taste samples of their unique wines. This is a great way to experience the distinct history and flavors of authentic Appalachian wines.
How It Works
There are two ways to travel the Rocky Top Wine Trail. The most popular way is a self-guided tour. When you visit the first winery, you can ask for a Rocky Top Wine Trail passport. Then each winery you visit on the trail will stamp the passport. This lets you travel the wine trail at your own pace and over the course of days, weeks, months, or even years. The last winery you visit will give you a free gift for completing the wine trail. Each tasting at the wineries along the Rocky Top Wine Trail is free.
The second way you can travel the wine trail is with a VIP Tour. A Rocky Top Wine Trail guide will drive you around to three of the wineries on the trail. That means you won’t need a designated driver so everyone in your group can enjoy tasting samples. As an extra perk, the VIP Tour includes a few extra samples, special discounts, a swag bag, and expedited service. However, this tour does have a cost to cover the extras.
