The story of J.T. Hannah is an interesting one. The restaurant earned its name from the successful Smoky Mountain businessman, J.T. Hannah, himself. The Pigeon Forge restaurant originally began as a lunch option for Hannah’s warehouse employees. Then, the business took off and Hannah was able to shut down the warehouse lunchroom to begin dedicating his time to the restaurant. Still today, your eyes can wander through the warehouse that’s still reminiscent of what it looked like back then, filled with rustic décor and relics. Guests will appreciate that the entire staff still displays true Southern hospitality, just like they did when J.T. Hannah started the business in 1930.
