Visitors to the Smoky Mountains are thrilled about one of the newest Pigeon Forge attractions. The Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster is becoming a popular stop for everyone in the area, including locals and vacationers. The Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster is the first of its kind in Tennessee and the longest downhill ride in the United States.
Featuring beautiful mountain views and scenery, the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster offers a one mile ride through the mountainside of Wears Valley. As visitors slowly ride to the top, they can take a look at all of the great views while preparing for the thrill of riding downhill. The downhill portion speeds visitors up to 25 m.p.h. downhill, giving riders a real thrill in the Smokies.
The coaster is one of the only Pigeon Forge attractions where riders can control their own speed. Due to this, the ride can last anywhere from 7-8 minutes. Giving riders the ultimate hands-on experience, every member of the family is sure to enjoy the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster!
The Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster can be found at traffic light #3 in Pigeon Forge, on Wears Valley Road. The coaster offers reasonably priced rides.
