The Pigeon Forge Spring Rod Run is one of three huge car shows that take place annually in town, along with the Fall Rod Run and the Shades of the Past. The Spring Rod Run features classic cars, hot rods and just about every type of collectible car in existence! Thousands of cars from around the country descend upon Pigeon Forge to participate in the event, and anyone can register to participate at the Spring Rod Run. The 2013 event takes place from April 19-21, but many participants will show up earlier in the week to enjoy the various attractions in Pigeon Forge.

The best viewing areas for the Pigeon Forge Spring Rod Run are anywhere along the Pigeon Forge parkway. There will be vehicles cruising and parked along the parkway all throughout the event so there will be plenty of opportunities to see all the cars. Many people even set up chairs along the parkway to see the vehicles cruising all day and night. Most of the parkway is not shaded so attendees should plan to be out in the sun most of the day and plan accordingly. Typically the cars that are brought in for the show rotate their day between parking in various lots along the parkway and cruising the main loop.

The judging and prizes for the event will take place approximately half way down the parkway of Pigeon Forge, TN. For $10, guests can access the show location all weekend to enjoy the festivities and vendors. Due to the popularity of the event and parking capacity you will have the option of utilizing parking shuttles that will run back and forth to the event from the Pigeon Forge municipal parking lot.
Planning your vacation to stay located in the middle of the festivities of the Pigeon Forge area allows you to have access to many of the events and viewing within walking distance if you prefer.
