Whether you’re a local or a tourist to Gatlinburg, the annual Smoky Mountain Trout Tournament is event not to be missed. Open to both children and adults, this tournament promises to be a challenging good time that will reward participants with numerous prizes. Some of the prizes to be given away will include cash for the largest and the smallest trout, gift certificates, trophies, fishing equipment, and much more!

Known as the largest trout tournament in the Smokies, this event is held twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall. Those who wish to register for either can do so by phone, mail, or online. Also, residents and visitors should note that both local and state fishing regulations will be observed during the tournament. Anyone who will be registering for the tournament will need a special permit which can be obtained at the Welcome Center located on 441 South.

For all those that attend, they’ll find the Smoky Mountain Trout Tournament to be well organized, successful, and most importantly, fun! Located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, this popular fishing event allows great access to the streams and river where both the young and old have gathered for over 10 years.
