Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is home to the famous Smoky Mountain Quiltfest where over 20,000 tourists from all corners of the United States converge for four days of celebrating quilts and those who create them. The next event is set for March 14-17, 2012.

Quilting may seem like a lost art, but there are many quilting enthusiasts keeping this tradition alive and sharing their knowledge with the younger generation. Classes are offered to all ages and skill levels during Quiltfest. In addition, there are competitions for everyone from professional quilters to youth just learning about making quilts.
